Pat Roongphornchai

Pat thought yoga was easy, slow, and boring until he took his first class in
Bangkok, Thailand in May 2015. The class was challenging and engaging,
completely reversing his previous skepticism. After, Pat developed a newfound
respect for both the practice and its practitioners. He started attending classes
three times a week and quickly noticed changes in his mood, posture, mobility
and muscle tone. Eventually, Pat stopped hitting the gym all together and
completely devoted himself to the study and practice of yoga.
Pat completed his first 200-hour teacher training in Hatha Yoga in Chiangrai,
Thailand in August 2016 with Master Anup Gupta followed by a secondary
training with Master Gupta in Ashtanga in Rishikesh, India in April 2018.

Additionally, Pat earned international recognition as one of the main instructors at the Thailand Yoga Festival in 2018 and 2019. Featured alongside other
instructors from around the world, Pat led the SUP Yoga (Stand-up Paddle Board
Yoga) classes at the multi-day international event. Pat also opened
YOGAHOLIC, a yoga studio in Chiangmai, Thailand.
Currently, Pat lives in Summerlin with his wife and two sons. He loves practicing
power yoga, Ashtanga and hot yoga, but stays balanced with Yin and pranayama
techniques. Pat’s goal is for each of his students to leave every class with
something better than they came in with – better health, knowledge or self
understanding – and continued inspiration to keep practicing yoga.
